Colorado Gives Day
You can make a difference in the Gunnison Valley
“If not now, then when?” Wynn and Ryan Martens think about this question often. They know that open spaces need to be proactively protected because by the time you realize your favorite trail is threatened, it can be too late.
The Martens split time between Boulder and Crested Butte, but their roots in the valley date back to the 1880s when Wynn’s family began mining and ranching in Colorado. The Martens are passionate supporters of the Crested Butte Land Trust because they want to be part of conserving the heritage of the valley, along with the trails and views they love.
This Colorado Gives Day, the Martens are challenging you to join them. They have generously offered to match your donation, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000.
From the North Pole Basin, to Snodgrass, to the Lower Loop, to the Rozman Ranch, the Crested Butte Land Trust is protecting the heart and soul of the Gunnison Valley. It is the magical mix of the mountain views, the recreational opportunities, and the ranching heritage that makes Crested Butte the special place it is today.
No matter how you and your family connect with and enjoy Crested Butte throughout the year, join us now – on Colorado Gives Day. Help protect that magical mix and make sure that future generations will be able to enjoy the Gunnison Valley as you do today.
Colorado Gives Day is December 6th. You can schedule your donation today, or simply visit the site and make your donation on December 6th. Either way, the Martens will match your gift, and you’ll know you are part of preserving the heart and soul of the Gunnison Valley.
