Gunsight Bridge Community Visit

August 16, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
  • This event has passed.

Join Land Trust staff and ecologist Mark Beardsley on a community visit of the Gunsight Bridge. For years, we have been working with the community to protect the wetlands in the Slate River Valley, and replacing the Gunsight Bridge is our next step. We will discuss the project in depth, addressing the following:

How is the current bridge structure impacting the river?
How is the current bridge structure impacting the adjacent wetlands?
How will the new bridge design help alleviate these stresses?
What can we expect moving forward?

Meet us at the 4-way stop in Crested Butte at 4:30 p.m. if you’d like to carpool out to the Bridge with us. The visit will begin at 5 p.m., and we hope to see you there! Please don’t hesitate to contact Land Trust stewardship director, Hedda Peterson, with any questions!
