“All these great organizations working together, the way it should be!”
We have partnered with 20 (!!!) other non-profits throughout the valley to Clean Up the Slate, and we need you there, too. After a summer full of visitors, our public lands need help recovering. Join us October 16 for trash collection, smoothing over fire rings, and closing down rogue trails.
We’ll meet at the Crested Butte Visitors Center parking lot at 10:30 AM for a shuttle, thanks to Alpine Express and Crested Butte Nordic. If you miss the shuttle, head out Slate River Road to Musicians’ Camp anytime. Please bring your friends and families, warm clothes, water and work gloves!
Be the difference for your community, and your public lands. The Land Trust is incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers, who helped us care for our land throughout the summer. Now, we are excited to put in some time on BLM and USFS lands. All of the open land in the Slate River Valley contributes to the habitat and land for cattle grazing, and it allows for incredible trails and scenic views of Paradise Divide.
It’s going to be a fun day, with some hard work followed by some BBQ and beer at Musicians Camp at 3 p.m. Please, join us.
