Noxious Weed Knockout – last Wednesday Workday of the season
As summer winds down, so do our monthly Wednesday Workdays, but we need your help for one final push on the Lupine Trail. We need as many hands as possible to pull up Houndstongue, an invasive weed that spreads like wildfire if left unchecked. If eaten, this nasty plant can make our wildlife sick, and even cause death, and, it uses more than its fair share of water, choking our stunning wildflowers and stunting their growth. Please help us protect the Lupine Trail’s namesake, while giving back to the trails you love.
We will meet at the 4-Way in Crested Butte at 3:45 p.m. and car pool to Saddle Ridge Road. Or, you can meet the group at the start of the Lupine Trail on Saddle Ridge Road at 4:00 p.m., but please ride your bike, as there is very limited parking.
Please bring work gloves and water. Snacks will be provided. Contact Brian with any questions: firstname.lastname@example.org
