July 19, 2016 @ 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • This event has passed.

If you’re into moving slowly, lots of botanical discussion, and unusual plant species, while ALSO reaching the high alpine, this tour is for YOU! A long approach in the vehicle will bring us to Cumberland Pass, between Tin Cup and Pitkin, Colorado. From there, we’ll hike the ridge of Napoleon Mountain to explore the alpine tundra. Botanist extraordinaire, Vinnie Rossingnol, will share his years of experience getting to know the area’s flora and fauna, and local artist, Lian Canty will guide us through her process of observing and sketching alpine flowers.
