Colorado Gives Day Open House

You’re invited to an open house giving event co-hosted by the Land Trust and the Crested Butte Museum on Tuesday, December 6 from 1 to 6 PM to celebrate Colorado Gives Day. Join us at the museum, 331 Elk Ave, to learn about the work that both of our organizations do for the community. You’ll also enjoy free entrance to the museum, a hot chocolate bar, and sweet treats!

Every year, Coloradans come together with a common goal to strengthen the community by financially empowering nonprofits. We hope you’ll join in, whether in person at our open house or virtually, to make a donation to our mission. If you can’t make the event, please consider showing your support for the Land Trust by making a donation today through December 6 at coloradogives.org/cblandtrust. All donations are tax deductible and are boosted by the statewide $1.4 million dollar incentive fund. Your gift matters!

This is a free event, and no registration is needed. We hope to see you there!

Learning from Landowners

Keep It Colorado, a statewide nonprofit coalition of conservation organizations, recently published stories from landowners across the state sharing their successful approaches to conservation. These stories highlight topics such as forest and wetlands management, climate resilience, wildfire mitigation and restoration, wildlife habitat protection, regenerative grazing, family estate planning, and more.

Click here to read these landowners’ stories, and learn about why they chose to conserve their lands and how their actions will serve Colorado for generations to come.

Thank you to all the partnering Land Trusts and landowners who have shared their experience and efforts in conservation.

Call to Photographers

The Land Trust seeks photo submissions for the 2024 calendar! Submit your photos of the Land Trust’s conservation values: wildlife, science visits, recreation, and ranching by March 1.

Submissions can be via email to jessica@cblandtrust.org, or dropped off at our office in town at 308 Third Street.

Without high quality photos, we could not tell our story or support our mission in conservation and stewardship in the Gunnison Valley. It is thanks to your contributions that we can utilize impactful visuals and capture the beautiful place that we live. Thank you!
