The Long Lake Trail is Complete!
In partnership with the Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association (CBMBA) and Adaptive Sports Center, we are pleased to announce that a new 1 mile loop trail has been completed at Long Lake. This pedestrian trail also features a 42” trail width for hand cyclists. The new trail will allow the Land Trust team to begin closing and restoring numerous social trails that are causing erosion and resource damage. Remember, stay on the trail and enjoy Long Lake before the snow flies!
We owe a huge thank you to CBMBA and 100+ community volunteers for their heroic trail building efforts! The Long Lake Committee was also instrumental in planning for this trail and for long term management solutions for this beloved community resource.
We hope you are able to check out the trail this fall, but if not, keep an eye out this spring for new signage and two stunning benches funded through the National Forest Foundation.

Glacier Farm Closing Days
Glacier Farm will be wrapping up its growing season and hosting volunteer days to help winterize the farm. Join us with Mountain Roots Food Project on Thursday, October 20 and Monday, October 24 from 12:00 – 4:00 PM.

Land Trust Re-Accreditation Application
The Crested Butte Land Trust is applying for re-accreditation through the Land Trust Accreditation Committee, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance.
The Commission invites public input and accepts signed, written comments on pending applications. Comments must relate to how the Crested Butte Land Trust complies with national quality standards. These standards address the ethical and technical operation of a land trust. For the full list of standards, click here.
