Kelly Harrison

Board Member

Kelly was raised in Andover, KS and is one of seven brothers and sisters that made their annual trek with mom and dad to CB each summer for the family fly fishing/camping trip on Brush Creek.  Kelly’s first trip to CB was in August of 1963 and the family has continued the tradition.  He and his wife Tanja purchased a home on East River in September 2012, so they no longer camp.  Kelly and Tanja split time between their current home in Lawrence, KS and CB.  Kelly is a retired officer of Westar Energy where he oversaw a variety of areas in his 37-yr. career including planning, regulatory, environmental, operations and transmission.  His family has operated a registered angus cattle herd for over 50 years and currently manages the herd on their ranch in Elk County, KS.  He is a graduate of Wichita State University with degrees in Electrical Engineering, Masters Engineering Management and an MBA.  He is past chairman, and Board Trustee for the Kansas Chapter of The Nature Conservancy.  Kelly enjoys spending time with family, fly fishing, mountain biking, skiing and hiking.
