Terri and her husband, Chris, have been coming to the CB area since 1997. They came to escape the Austin, Texas heat for a few days and left with appreciation of the beauty of the Gunnison Valley and endless opportunities it provides for outdoor recreation and family time. The Von Dohlens purchased a lot and built a home adjacent to CBLT property in 2011. They love hosting family and friends and sharing the magnificence of the mountains. The Von Dohlens support the CBLT because they believe the commitment to a balance between development and conservation is what makes our valley special. Now that their children are grown, the Von Dohlens split time between Crested Butte and Austin. Terri’s background is in fundraising and development, and she chaired the Crested Butte Land Trust Gala in 2022. In the summer and fall you will find Terri hiking and fishing; in the winter, she’s on the mountain as many days as possible.
