Some of Jeff’s earliest memories are of hiking with his father through every national park in the United States, but he found Crested Butte on a mountain bike trip through Colorado over twenty years ago. He has been coming back to the Gunnison Valley ever since to enjoy the landscapes, activities, and community. Jeff attended The University of Texas where he competed on the golf team and found his way into a career in investment research. The Fahrenbruchs live in Dallas where Jeff is a portfolio manager at an investment firm, but Jeff, his wife Jen, and their five children cherish their time together in Crested Butte. He believes helping the Crested Butte Land Trust is one way he can express his gratitude for the treasures that our valley has to offer and help to protect this area so others can appreciate it. In addition to the Crested Butte Land Trust, he also serves on the Strategic Advisory Board for the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth and the selection committee for The Ben Hogan Award. He enjoys hiking, mountain biking, golf, and skiing.
