Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory

We partner with the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory (RMBL) to provide opportunities for scientific research on a variety of our distinctive lands. Our North Pole Basin project, in partnership with RMBL, preserves 158 acres in the High Elk Corridor. The property complements the Land Trust’s efforts in and around Schofield, protects a wildlife corridor, and expands research opportunities for important scientific work.Today, the public can access the property by foot via the primitive North Pole Basin road, but in the future, a hiking only trail will lead to this unique piece of land.
