As the snow begins to melt and we have our hearts set on summer, please be mindful of seasonal trail closures and conditions. If trails are muddy, please allow them to dry out before riding. You can stay up to date on trails by visiting Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association’s trail report before getting out for a hike or a ride.

Springtime is a critical time for wildlife in the Gunnison Valley and there are several closures that are in effect until May 15 in the Signal Peak and Hartman’s Rocks areas to protect our Gunnison Sage Grouse population as well as our wintering elk and mule deer populations.
