Land Trust Field Trips
Please join us for one, two, or all three of our winter field trips this year. Ski or snowshoe with CBLT staff members out to the Magic Meadows Yurt where we’ll meet representatives from partner organizations to learn about the work they do on conserved lands.

January 12
Crested Butte Nordic
Joined by staff from CB Nordic, we’ll learn about the partnership between Nordic skiers and land conservation.
February 9
Crested Butte Museum
Staff from the Crested Butte Museum will share some history of the Lower Loop area, including the Smith Hill Mine that sits above Gunsight Bridge.
March 9
NRCS Colorado Snow Survey Program
BLM hydrologist Andrew Breibart and NRCS Colorado Snow Survey Supervisor Brian Domonkos will share information about the snow survey site near the Magic Meadows Yurt. We’ll see a surveying demo and learn about the Cooperative Snow Survey Program.
